A Hand Up - New Documentary
The new short documentary film, A Hand Up, documents how Vietnamese Americans have become the dominant force in the nail salon industry. Written and directed by San Diego freelance reporter Jody Hammond, it includes excerpts from Dat Phan's comedy routine, and an interview with actress Teppi Hedren. Twenty-five minutes long, A Hand Up was a hit at the San Diego Asian Film Festival last October.
