 Jackie Dooley, Head of Special Collections, noticed this item in a dealer's catalog and acquired it for the Southeast Asian Archive.

The Saigon Vietnamese Women's Day parade album, created by the Organizing Committee of the Commemorative Ceremonies held on the Vietnamese Women's Day of 1959 in honorof the Trung Sisters, is an elaborate silk-covered album, containing 20 pages. It was prepared by the Organizing Committee and presented to an unnamed woman addressed in a letter (in English) at the beginning of the album and signed by Mrs. Nguyen Van La. The album contains 24 mounted black & white photographs of the parade, as well as music and lyrics for a song in Vietnamese and a statement in English entitled "The flood of the Vietnamese women's revolution."
