Lunar New Year Celebrated at UCI

The Year of the Ox will be celebrated in style at UCI. For the past few years Chancellor Laurel L. Wilkening has visited community Tet festivals. She felt it was time for UCI to have their own event, to celebrate cultural diversity and strengthen ties to the community. Project Ngoc, the Vietnamese American Coalition, and the Vietnamese Student Association are planning this year's Lunar New Year's celebration. Featured will be a cultural show, food and game booths, a photography exhibit, and information about the activities of UCI Asian American student groups. This year will mark the beginning of a new tradition at UCI, as the Lunar New Year celebration is slated to be an annual event.

Festivities will take place on Thursday, February 6, at the UCI Student Center, 12:00-2:00 PM. All are welcome.
