New Book: Good-bye Vientiane
Good-bye Vientiane: Untold stories of Filipinos in Laos, by Penelope Villarica Flores, gives first-person accounts by Filipino Americans who worked in Laos from 1957 to 1973. Serving as nurses, doctors, teachers, accountants, social workers, engineers, their stories tells how their Lao experience shaped their lives and how the impact of the Vietnam War era affected noncombatant Laos.
