Cambodian Literature Anthology

In the Shadow of Angkor: Contemporary writing from Cambodia is the first anthology of contemporary literature from Cambodia and the Cambodian diaspora to be published in the U.S. Published on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the defeat of the Khmer Rouge, it celebrates the rebirth of Cambodia’s cultural heritage. Included are essays, fiction, interviews, a film script by Cambodian French filmmaker Rithy Panh, poetry by U Sam Oeur and Long Beach rap artist, praCH, and photographs by Richard Murai.

In the Shadow of Angkor is published by the University of Hawaii Press as volume 16:1 of Manoa: A Pacific Journal of International Writing, http://manoajournal.hawaii.edu.
