Hmong Student Conference at UCLA

The UCLA Association of Hmong Students organized the recent conference, “Giving Voice to Hmong American Experiences: Research and Rhetoric,” held Saturday, May 7 at Kerkhoff Grand Salon on the UCLA campus. Speakers included Kao-Ly Yang, Ph.D., doctoral students Seng A. Vang, (UC San Diego), Leena Her (Stanford University), Bao Lo (UC Berkeley), and Sarah Marie P. Mamaril, UCLA McNair Scholar. A feature of the event was the presentation of a student initiated course syllabus by UCLA Asian American Studies students Sannya Fang, Chong Moua, and Eric Yang.
