Education Abroad Program in Hanoi

Applications are now available for the fall semester 2000 UC Education Abroad Program (EAP) in Hanoi. The academic program consists of Vietnamese language study and course work in developmental economics, anthropology, literature and society, and contemporary issues in Vietnamese society. There is a required Issues in Contemporary Vietnamese Society class. Students are expected to earn 22.5 UC quarter units for successfully completing the program.

Minimum requirements include: 1) well-defined goals and a clear plan for integrating EAP studies into the student's UC degree program, 2) 3.0 cumulative GPA, 3) junior standing, 4) personal interview, and 5) endorsement by the Campus EAP Selection Committee and completion of all campus-specific requirements.

Estimated cost of the program is $5,880, including round-trip airfare.
