Vermont and Laos Meet

I think of this every time I think of mountains:a cross-cultural dialogue of poetry and song in English and Laotian is the result of an intergenerational collaboration between 80 year old singer Souphine Phathsoungenune and 30 year old Lao American poet Phayvanh Luekhamhan.  The two artists, both refugees, met in Brattleboro, Vermont. The live intergenerational spoken word performance was recorded at Middlebury College, Vermont and is part of the Vermont Folklife Center Archives. The CD is accompanied by a program book. Both are available for $20.00. Order information can be found at http://www.phayvanh.com/stuff.html
