 Hmong at Heart , a celebration of Hmong culture and traditions developed by the Madison (WI) Children’s Museum, will be at the Children’s Museum at La Habra , January 16, 2007-April 29, 2007. This traveling exhibit takes visitors on a journey through the daily life of Hmong people from a village in Laos and a refugee camp in Thailand to a Hmong American home.  The Smithsonian Institution’s first Vietnamese American history and culture exhibit, ”Exit Saigon , Enter Little Saigon : Vietnamese America Since 1975,” will open on January19, 2007 at the S. Dillon Ripley Center’s International Gallery. It will explore the challenges faced by Vietnamese Americans, their contributions to American culture, and how they have been perceived by other Americans After closing in March 2007, the exhibit will travel to other parts of the U.S. The Southeast Asian Archive is among the institutions and individuals lending materials for the exhibition.
