2004 Summer SEASSI Program

Heritage language and culture classes in Khmer, Lao, Hmong, and Vietnamese will be offered at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, June 14- August 6, 2004 by the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI).

These classes are intended for Cambodian, Hmong, Lao, and Vietnamese university students who can speak/understand their heritage language to at least a minimum degree, and would like to acquire reading and writing skills. Students with no knowledge of the language can also study at SEASSI, but would be in beginning language classes with non-native speakers. All classes give one full year of university language credit. Fellowships and tuition reductions are available. Consult the SEASSI Heritage Program website for more detailed information: http://wiscinfo.doit.wisc.edu/S EASSI/heritage.
