UCI Honors Yen Do
UCI Libraries Director Gerald Munoff presents a plaque recognizing Mr. Yen Do, founding editor of the Nguoi Viet newspaper, and chairman of the Southeast Asian Archive Advisory Board at UC Irvine on February 21, 2001. The ceremony was held in conjunction with a talk by Dr. Franklin Odo, Director of the Smithsonian Program for Asian Pacific American Studies, Washington D.C. Dr. Odo came to UCI to visit the Southeast Asian Archive and to encourage the on-going collection of documents and artifacts concerning the Southeast Asian American community.
